Basurero is part of the 9th San Luis Potosi International Film Festival in Mexico

Basurero is honored to have been selected for the 9th San Luis Potosi International Film Festival (International Short Film Contest), to be held in San Luis, Mexico, from December 2 to 9, 2020.

The esteemed members of the Jury for this year’s competition include actress Pricila Lepe (“Malintzin, the story of an enigma”, 2019; “The Dragon, the Return of a Warrior”, 2019), and writer-director Alex Kahuam, (“Red Light”, 2020; “So, you want to be a gangster?”, 2014).

The festival aims to promote cinematography as an art and to create an inclusive dialogue between the general public and film creators. By opening a plural space between Mexico and the world, it also seeks to present new trends in cinematography, while increasing public interest in the Potosi film industry.

Basurero was part of the program for Lausanne Short Film Night

Basurero was included in the program of the 23rd Night of the Court of Lausanne, originally scheduled for November 27, 2020, at the Pathe Les Galeries cinema in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Unfortunately, the said event has been canceled, in view of the regulations imposed by the Vaud Council of State as of November 3, 2020, in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

The organizers have unveiled a Solidarity Night instead, collaborating with eight other Swiss film festivals.  Read the official press release here.

Despite this unfortunate development, we look forward to being part of the Night of the Court once again next year.
