Basurero is back home in the Philippines, via Bakunawa 7.  It is one of the closing films at this year’s pioneering Bakunawa Cinema of the Young.

Basurero is an Official Selection and In-Competition at the Psarokokalo 13th International Short Film Festival,    May 29-June 4, 2021.  We are part of International Program Two on May 29.  You can get more information about the festival here: https://www.psarokokalo.org/

The 13th Psarokokalo International Short Film Festival returns with independent cinema from all over the world. A total of one hundred and two selected films from forty-two countries.

The festival’s program examines topics such as hate speech, the multiple discriminations on grounds of gender, religion, poverty, racism and xenophobia, violence against women, climate change, economic migration, sexual harassment. Overall the films are stimuli for the beginning of the discussion and the road to action on issues related to Sustainable Development Goals.
