Basurero is part of Cinema Sala Cares’ Typhoon Relief Screening & Fundraiser

Cinema Sala Shorts are back, and we are happy that Basurero will be screening alongside four other amazing short films from the Philippines.  This amazing short film block is curated by Marie Jamora for our Typhoon Relief Fundraiser, in partnership with World Vision Philippines this month.   It aims to assist the people deeply affected by the destructive typhoons that have hit our homeland in recent times.

Darlene Catly Malimas, one of our Producers, and Direk Eileen Cabiling will be present for a Q&A with the other filmmakers during the event.

“MEMORIES OF THE ISLANDS”

Joanne Vasquez Arong’s “To Calm The Pig Inside”

Eileen Cabiling and Darlene Malimas’ “Basurero”

Janus Victoria’s “Viva Viva Escolta”
